Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Machining Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in cast iron machining and CNC programming. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing machining processes, supporting equipment implementation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives on the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement CNC machining processes for new and existing parts
Create and optimize CNC programs using CAM software
Lead projects involving new CNC equipment from planning through production startup
Drive process innovation to improve cost, quality, and safety
Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues
Analyze and troubleshoot machining challenges and production delays
Support tooling selection and process documentation
Interpret product models, technical drawings, and GD&T
Maintain accurate process records and documentation for machining programs
Evaluate and test new machining technologies
Required Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in CAM software (EdgeCAM, FeatureCAM, or Creo/NC)
3D CAD experience (preferably Creo)
Offline simulation experience (Vericut preferred)
Tooling systems knowledge, including TDM Systems
NC programming experience and strong understanding of CNC machining centers
Hands-on experience with cast iron machining
Multi-axis machining knowledge (Mazak preferred)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other standard software tools
Experience with in-process gauging and machining optimization
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in robotics or manufacturing automation
High attention to detail and quality
Ability to work independently with strong initiative
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related technical field
Equivalent relevant experience will be considered
