Job Description: Industrial Engineer (IE) with Construction Management Experience
Renal Segment is seeking an IE with Medical Products Finished Goods Warehouse
Construction Management experience for a 12 – 18 months project to buildout an existing structure in the area of Houston, Texas, that will serve as a Regional Distribution Center for Renal solution products.
This project is in the initial design phase. The buildout portion of the project is anticipated to begin by Sep 2024 and conclude by Mar 2025.
The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for leading the design activities with a contracted design firm, overseeing specific disciplines, and providing support according to the proposed project schedule to avoid delays or lack of prompt answers to Request For information, approval of Construction Plans and Specifications, Revisions and Approvals of Submittals by the contractors, and clarifications on undefined or inconclusive scope covered in the Construction Plans and Specifications. The IE may be remotely located during the design phase but must be able to provide actual field presence at the site during the buildout phase. Additional costs in addition to direct remuneration for services must be considered up front and are to be submitted as part of the service. There will be no reimbursements for other services, material, per-diems, traveling expenses, copies of documents, other office expenses, mail, delivery services, etc. if not included in the original agreement unless required by Client Renal Segment, in writing, and considered out of the original scope of the project.
The IE's full-time presence during buildout is required at the job site. The number of full-time, part-time, or other forms of engineering support shall be covered in the initial agreement. Client Renal Segment reserves the right to request additional Architecture & Engineering support at no charge to Client Renal Segment if the selected presence in the field during execution is not sufficient to cover all activities and delays are imminent.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IE with construction management experience or related field
- 5 years of experience in Medical Products Finished Goods Warehouse Construction
- Experience with warehouse processes automation technologies desired
- Proven track record of managing construction projects from inception to completion
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret Construction Plans and Specifications
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications
