Job Summary:
- Position based in Plymouth, MN with a hybrid work format.
- Role as a Principal Software Engineer - Embedded Systems with Vantive.
- Part of the R&D team developing and maintaining embedded software architecture for CRRT devices.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to create optimal solutions.
- Mentoring junior engineers.
- Requires 5 years of experience in embedded software development and a passion for patient care and safety.
- Role involves risk identification and opportunities for innovation.
- Tasks include developing critical care software within an Agile framework.
- Working with a real-time embedded software system utilizing Green Hills Integrity OS.
- Duties include proposing design alternatives, creating software requirements, and molding software architecture.
- Implementation of code and unit tests in C/C , peer reviews, and investigating high-priority field issues.
- Qualifications required: Bachelor's or Master's in relevant fields with 5 years of experience or Masters with 3 years.
- Experience in embedded software development, software development lifecycle methodologies including Agile, Iterative, V-Model, etc.
- Good experience in analyzing issues with memory/threading/performance and driving analysis for tough issues.
- Strong communication skills to convey design decisions, inputs, and outputs.
- Vantive supports flexibility in the workplace with a minimum of 3 days a week on-site.
- The position allows for remote work, but onsite is preferred.
- The working shift is USA-1.
