Cube Root is currently seeking multiple Senior QA / QC Managers to support multiple projects in Washington, DC. Primarily responsible for the implementation and management of the Project's Quality Assurance Program (QAP). Develops additional relevant criteria for Quality Assurance Management as needed for all facets of the site development and design activity.
Develop a full understanding of the prime contractor and consultant contractual requirements. Ensure the immediate initiation of the prime contractors and consultant Quality Control Program and that these programs include all lower tier contractors and suppliers.
Conduct Quality Assurance meetings. These meetings will offer a platform for clarification and coordination of the QA program with the contractor quality control program. Provide regular feedback to the contractor on compliance with the QA program. Develop methods within the QA program to confirm the reporting and deliverables provided from QC personnel.
Produce regular QA reports for the Project Manager, COTR and the Ownership team. QA reporting provides data, trends and assessment of the contractor QC program. Provide recommendations to the Ownership team on guidance they should deliver to the contractor to improve its QC program or to improve the results of the contractor's work in place.
Perform submittal review, comments and approval for key submittals to include work plans, safety plans, incident response plans, etc. Maintains organized and complete written records of submittals required by the QA program. Review contractor payment application for validation of quantities. Reviews contractor's daily reporting for accuracy. Tracks required permitting and ensures they are appropriately acquired for the work.
Reviews and comments on the design team QC plan for their design process. Ensures the design team maintains compliance with their QC plan during the design process.
Leads by example, wearing appropriate safety gear and following safety requirements. Displays a positive and productive attitude toward safety.
Manage and lead all Owner consultants responsible for supporting the QA program. Ensure efforts of the QA team are coordinated. Establishes a meaningful QA presence on site. Regularly participates in contractor site meetings and regular owner progress meetings.
Position Requirements
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management preferred.
10 years of experience. 15 years of experience for Senior QA / QC Manager.
CCM or PMP preferred.
Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management certification preferred.
