With a strong focus on cloud architecture and scalable, cloud-native solutions, this role demands a deep understanding of both technical and business landscapes. Reporting directly to the Head of Architecture and collaborating closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Senior Principal Architect will guide the technical direction of the company, ensuring that all architectural decisions are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.Duties and Responsibilities : Lead the development and execution of the company's architectural vision, with a strong emphasis on cloud-native and hybrid cloud solutions.Act as a strategic advisor to the Chief Architect and CTO, helping to shape the company's long-term technology strategy in alignment with business goals and market trends.Leverage in-depth knowledge of business and customer needs to inform and drive architectural decisions that ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.Design and oversee enterprise-wide cloud architectures using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Develop and lead initiatives for cloud migration, hybrid cloud strategies, and multi-cloud deployments, ensuring these architectures are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.Champion the adoption of cutting-edge cloud-native technologies such as serverless computing, containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Job Specifications or Qualifications : Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree.An MBA or advanced business degree is a plus.15 years of experience in software development and architecture design, with at least 7 years focused on cloud architecture at an enterprise level.Proven track record as a Senior Principal Architect, Enterprise Architect, or similar senior leadership role in a large-scale software development environment.Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native architecture, including serverless computing, microservices, and containerization.Demonstrated ability to lead and influence at the executive level, with a strong focus on aligning technology initiatives with business strategy.Deep expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, serverless, event-driven architecture), and best practices.Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills, with a proven ability to guide and inspire technical teams.Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate business and customer needs into effective technical solutions.Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a strategic approach to addressing complex challenges.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Cubic is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
