What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Infant Caregiver position at Cubs Den' @ Wesleyan School Faculty Daycare?
We are looking to hire a qualified caregiver to lead our infant room. The ideal candidate would provide a positive learning environment rooted in Christian faith for the children of the Wesleyan School faculty. The infant room consists of no more than 10 children, ages infant through young toddlers and is supported by an assistant teacher. This position follows the Wesleyan School calendar and receives holiday and summer breaks.
The desired applicant would have experience in a daycare environment, specifically with infants and/or toddlers. He or she must have a strong Christian faith, display a friendly demeanor, have a love for children, and strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for both children and teachers. Early childhood education is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children.
- Create and lead a structured, age-appropriate, and adaptable classroom.
- Provide care for infants and young children including but not limited to diaper changing, feeding, play, and early learning.
- Ensure that facilities are safe for children and comply with laws and regulations.
- Communicate with parents at drop-off and pick-up.
- Support teachers and children in the classroom each day.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- At least six months of childcare experience required.
- Experience working with infants required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
