What you’ll be working on…
- Accurately reading and recording of consumption
- Installing residential metering equipment
- Conducting interior & exterior leak investigations to determine appropriate action
- Turning residential gas service on and off
- Performing periodic meter changes
- Maintaining knowledge and understanding of customer needs, concerns and expectations
- Reporting unusual circumstances in the field
- Conducting high and low bill investigations
- Understanding PSC policies on termination of service and theft of service
- Recognizing potentially hazardous situations
- Maintaining company vehicle, tools and equipment
- Participating in an on-call standby rotation for emergency response
Who you are...
- You have excellent customer contact skills
- You have a conscientious work ethic
- You have a valid Driver License with responsible driving record
- You possess a strong Mechanical Aptitude
- You have a normal level of visual and hearing ability
Where you’ll be working:
- Outside, customer premises, and minimal office time
- Working around potentially flammable substances
