We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and enjoyably. As a Food Runner, you will work closely with the kitchen staff and servers to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards before serving.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate timely service.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables after guests leave.
- Support banquet services by setting up and breaking down event spaces as required.
- Ensure that all food items are presented beautifully and meet the restaurant's standards for quality and safety.
- Provide excellent customer service by being attentive to guest needs and responding promptly to any requests or concerns.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, as it enhances efficiency during service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A team player attitude with a willingness to help others, including cooks and servers, as needed.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift items up to 25 pounds as part of daily responsibilities.
