What are the responsibilities and job description for the MERC Production Planner position at CUDD Pressure Control, Inc.?
Coordinates manufacturing production duties for the assigned site location. Assists with any duties assigned by the district manager when needed.Reviews Shop Packets to ensure all job transactions are accurately recorded. Checks available inventory for material including assemblies, purchased components, and raw material to create and schedule all work orders to production floor. Communicates any identified storages, expedites, and restocking orders to purchasing within parts department daily. Responsible for filing documents – including pulling of CAD prints for shop packets. Issues material to production job in Cudd Manufacturing System (CMS) Print, assemble, organize and distribute shop packets. Identifies inventory components: raw material and finished goods. Maintains and organizes production office. Assists with scheduling the manufacturing process. Maintains Shop Packet Log and ensure all issues are identified and corrected systematically. Challenges the status quo by developing and recommending modification to existing processes and methodologies with a constant focus on continuous improvement. Review Purchase Order requirements for quoted outside services as dictated on the Work Order. Understands and demonstrates the 6 core behavioral expectations: Communicative, Motivated, Responsible, Dependable, Inquisitive, and Accountability. Cross trains in other positions in the production control department. Trains personnel in the use of new or modified software or equipment. Develops and implements new and/or unique solutions to problems presented. Other duties as assigned.
