Cuero Regional Hospital seeks a PRN Phlebotomist for our Lab Department. Responsibilities include:
- Performing complex phlebotomy tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintaining concentration and working independently with technical guidance available from the Laboratory Supervisor.
- Assisting in compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies by ensuring documentation is up-to-date and inspection readiness is maintained.
- Providing administrative support, including data entry and record-keeping.
- Acting as a laboratory assistant, cleaning equipment and assisting with routine duties in the clinical lab.
Required qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a phlebotomy course preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification or Medical Assistant (MA) preferred.
- 1-2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Able to draw blood from infants to geriatric patients.
- May work in hospital or clinic labs.
