Our next Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will join a dynamic senior leadership team committed to fostering a culture of excellence by leading with integrity, collaboration, and a hands-on approach. As a visible and influential strategic leader, the Chief Financial Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping the credit union's future. Reporting directly to the chief executive officer, the CFO will drive financial success by making sound decisions, spearheading strategic planning initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence. This dynamic leader will provide financial insights, oversee fiscal management, and collaborate with executive leadership to achieve the organization's goals and long-term vision.
The CFO will oversee the Accounting, Finance, and Risk Management, ensuring alignment with the credit union’s goals and values. This vital role involves performing essential financial functions that support the credit union's efficient and profitable operations while promoting a thriving culture and exceptional member experience. The following are the essential duties and responsibilities of our next CFO.
Financial Strategy and Asset Liability Management
- Develop and Execute Financial Strategy : Create and implement the organization’s financial strategy to align with its goals and ensure sustainable growth.
- Ensure Transparency : Maintain full transparency over the organization's financial performance, fostering stakeholder trust.
- Advise on Long-Term Planning : Provide strategic advice on long-term business and financial planning to support the Credit Union’s mission and vision.
- Investment Portfolio Management : Administer, develop, and manage the Credit Union’s investment portfolio to ensure liquidity and safety, as well as optimize earnings.
- Asset Liability Management : Leverage asset liability management tools and partnerships to perform in-depth analysis and offer effective balance sheet management recommendations.
- Collaborative Leadership : Actively participate in leadership team discussions and organizational projects, contributing ideas and insights and addressing concerns to drive strategic initiatives.
- Operational Analysis and Recommendations : Analyze current operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend changes to enhance productivity and financial stability.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education and Experience : A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required. Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA) is preferred. 10 years’ experience in a financially sound institution (credit union or banking industry experience is preferred—five years of experience at the executive or senior management level.
