Position Title: Field Implementation Specialist

Salary: $83000-$85000/yr

Job Summary

The Field Implementation Specialist position reports to the Safety Manager at SBU. The Field Implementation Specialist will support the implementation at the SBU Campus as well as the overall campus standing regarding less usage of plastics and Sustainability applications as a whole.

A successful candidate will assist in the planning, training, and execution of the initiatives necessary to accomplish the forementioned. This includes managing the efforts of team members and field personnel, providing continuing education to field operations, and contributing to the training process documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manages Sustainability projects, measures KPIs, and provides business updates
• Assists in the development of project scope, progress reports, requirements for documentation, and presentations. Liaises with management and field personnel on an ongoing basis.
• Tracks project timelines, milestones, and deliverables effectively.
• Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project; to include key stake holders, support departments and other sustainability related organizations.
• Trains identified field resources engaged in assembling and implementing programs.
• Trains field resources in the mechanics and proper maintenance to support programs. Assist field in diagnosing malfunctions and avoiding setbacks.
• Develops and implements training programs and best practices that assist the field with implementing Sustainability programs.
• Identifies and reports project issues. May act as Sustainability expert for client, customer and team members questions and concerns.
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years Project Management experience or bachelor’s degree in: Hospitality, Communications or related field
• Experience in Sustainability strongly preferred
• Advanced written and oral communication skills, including public speaking
• Culinary and/or food service experience preferred
