Salary: Up to $60,000.00/ yr.

Job Summary
Lead a team as a Catering Manager and deliver world-class catering services with flawless event execution at the Sandy Spring Friends School in Sandy Spring, MD. This opportunity is perfect for ambitious individuals in food and hospitality management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises all catering events, ensuring they are completed and detailed.
- Directly involved in catering operations, including logistics, quality improvement, sanitation, and facility management.
- Works with the Chef to build outstanding menus tailored to client needs.
- Provides training for catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service to maintain a proven standard of excellence.
- Monitors and tracks labor and food costs to ensure financial success.
- Communicates effectively at all levels, including management, clients, customers, and associates, to maintain excellent relationships.
- Assists with all foodservice-related activities to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the catering department's success.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of food service experience, with a minimum of 2 years at the management level.
- Prior experience in an education setting or related food service operations, including hotels, corporate dining, healthcare, or the military, is highly preferred.
- Catering management experience is required.
- Knowledge of food and catering trends, particularly quality, production, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.
- Strong financial, budgetary, and accounting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet usage.
- ServSafe Certification is mandatory.
