POSITION SUMMARY
The Coordinator of Food Enthusiast (FE)/CIA Consulting (CIAC) Programs will be responsible for the overall management of the on campus customer experience for the Food Enthusiast and Consulting department’s programming. This position will assist in the promotion and delivery of these programs and products while promoting the Culinary Institute of America’s (CIA’s) core values for excellence, professionalism, ethics and respect for diversity. The Coordinator of Food Enthusiast/CIA Consulting Programs will interface with a wide variety of departments in order to assist in providing successful FE programming.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate with FE/CIAC team to ensure successful promotion and execution of all programs.
- Establish collaborative partnerships with all levels within the CIA.
- Coordinate client needs including, but not limited to, restaurant reservations, housing and transportation as well as special requests.
- Coordinate CIA Consulting contractor travel.
- Maintain the standard of excellence in customer service for all client interactions and fostering FE/CIAC customer relationships. Greet clients and ensure that all guest related details are accounted for prior to program.
- Coordinate facility set up and break down including, but not limited to, continental breakfast, physical room configuration per client requests, etc.
- Collaborate with CIA Consulting Manager in contract writing for custom programs.
- Register consulting participants into student registration system (Xen), including but not limited to; course creation, issuing Continuing Education (CEU) process, generating certificates, rosters, and course completion process.
- Contact class waitlists per weekly report, when new classes and/or sections are added, and/or when canceling or transferring registrations.
- Responsible for monthly program supply inventory; ordering program and office supplies as needed.
- Responsible for monitoring website emails and escalating issues appropriately. Process transfers or refunds, send receipts, apply discounts, process gift card payments, and provide details on course offerings.
- Assists CIA Consulting/Food Enthusiast Programs Manager and Directors with calendar scheduling.
- Coordinate with Accounts Receivable the management of invoice creation, tracking, collection and deferred accounts for consulting and food enthusiast programs.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Associate’s Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or related field or significant experience in lieu thereof.
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a hospitality or customer service setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding of the food-service and hospitality industry both from professional and non-professional culinary perspectives.
- Hospitality or events management experience.
- Familiarity with the CIA’s mission and history.
- Culinary Institute of America graduate.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to be adaptable, dependable and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to show a high level of service responsiveness to customers.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills required. Must have demonstrated ability in organizational, time management, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Must have a proven, consistent track record showing the ability to work with all levels within an organization.
- Must display a high level of energy and self-motivation.
- Strong computer experience, which must include abilities to work effectively with MS Office suite products, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong administrative abilities.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work overtime on nights and weekends as required by business needs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods of time during customary service hours.
- Regular work requires the use of a computer, sometimes in excess of eight (8) hours per day.

Salary : $39,100 - $49,500
