The Front of House Manager will plan, supervise and control all Front of the House food and service-related activities according to standards set by CSG, the facility, and state / federal regulations under supervision of the Food Service Director. This may include dining rooms, tray service, cafes / bistros and catering functions. The Service Manager will also establish and oversee policies and standard operating procedures for the department.
Be accountable for training, coaching and motivating the dining services team and ensuring that all team members comprehend and comply with guidelines, regulations, procedures and policies.
Maintain and promote a clean & safe kitchen work environment in accordance with applicable health, safety, and food handling regulations.
Key Area of Responsibilities
- Provide a positive and quality dining experience.
- Assist in the serving and clearing of customers’ area using proper serving and clearing methods/techniques.
- Guide, Train, mentor front of house staff.
- Ensure removal/clean up of trash, waste, and spills timely in dining room, serving areas, and kitchen floor.
- Ensure compliance adherence of verbal and written instructions, production orders, and recordkeeping systems in the distribution of daily menu offerings.
- Assist in organizing and replenishing all service-related goods.
- Assign all side work responsibilities to front of house staff
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key area of responsibility. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
- Food service experience in healthcare, institutions, contracts, or another similar environment is preferred. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and managing and training experience desired.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required, Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts preferred
- SERV Safe required;
- Employment candidates for this position must have authorization to work in the United States, pass a background check, and meet any other checks/qualifications required by client/facility, or other statutory requirements.
- Due to the nature of our business, team members must be able to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, holidays, and weekends)
