Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Movers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the transportation and relocation of goods and materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in moving, commercial driving, and warehouse operations. You will work in a dynamic environment where teamwork and communication are essential to ensure safe and efficient moves.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload items from trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Operate various vehicles including box trucks and forklifts to transport goods.
- Utilize pallet jacks and other equipment to move heavy items within warehouses or job sites.
- Assist in packing, wrapping, and securing items for transport.
- Drive to various locations as required, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure a smooth moving process.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in moving or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Strong physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols during all moving activities.
- Experience as a courier is advantageous but not required.
