Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for an Electrical Engineer in Florence, SC. The work will be done onsite. This is a permanent job. Compensation is up to $85,000/yr, including full benefits.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in power distribution, protection, and control systems, with experience in electrical codes, PCB design, and embedded systems. This role requires collaboration across disciplines, working with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze power distribution, protection, and control systems
- Ensure compliance with North American electrical codes and standards (UL, CSA, ASME, NFPA, TSSA, NEC)
- Work with suppliers and third parties to meet regulatory requirements
- Utilize ECAD tools (Cadence, PSpice, ViewLogic, AutoCAD, E3) for circuit and PCB design
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams
- Develop and analyze wiring diagrams, system architecture, motors, and control applications
- Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and validation using test and measurement equipment
- Support product development by formulating solutions within system constraints and customer expectations
- Work in a cross-functional team environment to meet project deadlines and quality objectives
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BE)
- Strong knowledge of power components, distribution, and control theory
- Experience in PCB design, assembly, and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with embedded software designs and test environments
- Understanding of elevator systems is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
