Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Hardware Design Engineer in Irvine, CA. The work will be done onsite. This is a permanent job. Compensation is up to $135,000/yr, including full benefits.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hardware design and development, focusing on analog and microcontroller-based circuit design for aircraft systems. This role requires expertise in qualification testing, schematic capture, circuit analysis, and compliance with DO-160 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hardware design and development of analog and microcontroller-based circuits (LV, HV, TI Microcontroller) for aircraft systems
- Conduct qualification testing in compliance with DO-160 standards
- Utilize ORCAD for schematic capture and updates
- Design test jigs and test equipment for card-level testing and troubleshooting
- Prepare and manage planning documents, requirement analysis, and traceability matrices
- Work with IBM DOORS for requirement management and traceability
- Perform circuit analysis to address component obsolescence and identify alternate components
- Conduct change request analysis, execute corrections, and verify design implementations
- Develop test cases and procedures for DO-160 compliance
- Execute environmental testing as per DO-160 and generate comprehensive test reports
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for development and verification activities
- Conduct design reviews and update circuit designs accordingly
- Review test cases, procedures, and results to ensure compliance with requirements
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and electronic components
- Hands-on experience in circuit board design and development for aircraft applications
- Experience with IBM DOORS for requirement tracking and management
- Proficiency in ORCAD for schematic design and updates
- Familiarity with DO-160 standards and environmental testing requirements
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in hardware design and testing
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including technical documentation
Salary : $120,000 - $135,000
