Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Logistics Engineer in New Holland, PA. The work will be done onsite. This is a permanent job. Compensation is up to $70,000/yr, including full benefits.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented logistics engineer with expertise in Plan for Every Part (PFEP), kitting and sequencing, time studies, line balancing, warehouse layout design, and material routing. They should have a strong background in manufacturing processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and engineering change management (ECO). Proficiency in Microsoft Access and CAD tools is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan for Every Part (PFEP) to optimize material flow and inventory management.
- Develop and implement kitting and sequencing strategies to streamline production efficiency.
- Conduct time studies and line balancing to optimize assembly processes.
- Design and refine warehouse layouts and material routes for improved logistics efficiency.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) initiatives focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity.
- Collaborate with the Daily Management System (CBS) to identify and close process gaps.
- Work with safety, maintenance, tool room, and external vendors to drive improvements.
- Support Engineering Change Management (ECO) processes and ensure smooth implementation.
- Validate kitting logic (time, BOM consumption, model options) to ensure efficient material handling.
- Assist with packaging requirements and update kitting system data as needed.
- Participate in Kaizen events and facilitate the creation of operator instructions and work aids.
- Provide Manufacturing Engineering (ME) support during different build phases, coordinating with the shop floor team.
- Utilize Microsoft Access and CAD tools to support logistics planning and execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Production, or Operations); advanced degrees are a plus.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production logistics.
- Experience with kitting, sequencing, line balancing, and warehouse layout design.
- Strong understanding of ECO processes, material flow, and logistics optimization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access and CAD tools is preferred.
This role will be heavily involved in new model year launches, requiring close collaboration with logistics and production teams to ensure a seamless transition.
