Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Solution Architect 3 in Dallas, TX or Peoria, IL. The work will be done onsite three days a week. The rest will be work-from-home. This is a long term contract. It can lead to permanent employment with our customer. Compensation is $85/hr W2 overtime pay, including full benefits, vision, dental, health insurance, and 401K. - We are seeking a Senior Business Architect to lead the strategic alignment of business goals, processes, and technology solutions.
- This individual will play a key role in mapping capabilities, modeling processes, designing customer journeys, and serving as a bridge between business and IT.
- An understanding of the sales and services of large industrial machines business model and its intricacies is essential, alongside a strong background in Business Relationship Management (BRM), TOGAF principles, and enterprise-level architecture.
- Capabilities Mapping
- Identify, define, and document business capabilities in alignment with organizational strategy.
- Develop capability heat maps to identify gaps and recommend enhancements.
- Process Modeling
- Analyze, design, and optimize end-to-end business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to standardize and document workflows using industry-standard modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN).
- Journey Mapping
- Lead customer and employee journey mapping initiatives to ensure seamless experiences across all touchpoints.
Identify pain points and opportunities for process improvement
- Strategic Architecture Development
- Develop and maintain business architecture artifacts that align with the enterprise architecture framework.
- Work closely with technical architects to ensure business requirements are translated into scalable solutions.

- Leverage deep understanding of process / capabilities modeling to align solutions with sales and aftermarket strategies.
- Collaborate with RISST stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Governance and Standards
- Ensure architectural standards, best practices, and frameworks (including TOGAF) are consistently applied.
- Participate in governance boards to review and approve business architecture changes.
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field; master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business architecture, process modeling, or related roles.
Technical Skills
(Required)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business architecture, process modeling, or related roles.
- Proven experience with capabilities mapping, process modeling, and journey mapping.
- Strong understanding of BRM principles and experience acting as a liaison between business and IT.
- TOGAF certification or demonstrated understanding of TOGAF frameworks and methodologies.
- Knowledge of the sales and aftermarket processes in large industrial machinery.
- Proficiency in business modeling tools (e.g., Visio, ARIS, or similar).
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Communication Skills
- Stakeholder Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in translating complex technical concepts into business language.
- Negotiation and Facilitation: Ability to facilitate meetings, drive discussions, and build consensus among stakeholders.
- Presentation Skills: Competency in creating and delivering presentations to different audiences, from technical teams to senior leadership.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with agile methodologies and frameworks.
- Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with enterprise CRM (Salesforce) and ERP platforms
