JOB TITLE: Warehouse Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Plant & Warehouse
SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for the daily operations of the water treatment warehouse, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Warehouse Clerk plays a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our field technicians and customer service by providing timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving Shipments: Unload incoming shipments, verify packing slips against purchase orders, inspect for damage, and accurately record received items in the inventory management system. Report any discrepancies or damages to the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.
- Inventory Management: Stock materials and equipment in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper labeling and organization. Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry and regular cycle counts. Monitor inventory levels and report low stock items to the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.
- Order Fulfillment: Pull and prepare orders for field technicians and customers based on pick lists or order requests. Ensure accuracy in selecting items and quantities. Stage orders for pickup or delivery.
- Cycle Counting: Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies. Investigate discrepancies and report findings to the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Sweep, mop, and remove debris. Ensure proper storage of materials and equipment. Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) safely and efficiently (certification may be required). Report any safety hazards to the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.
- Other Duties: Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.

Requirements:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in warehousing or logistics a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in a related industry (e.g., plumbing, water treatment).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks related to warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack) preferred; certification may be required.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
