What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineer I - Mechanical position at Culligan?
Responsibilities :
The Engineer I - Mechanical performs functions that lead to the improvement of current products, and the development of new products and components. This individual has basic knowledge of commonly-used engineering concepts, practices, and procedures. This role reports to the Engineering Director and will receive guidance from senior level engineers.
Specific Job Function :
- Design water treatment products and the related components under the supervision of senior level engineers
- Assist in the analysis of design problems to determine the root cause, and then implement corrective actions
- Assist in the development of product, component and process specifications with the guidance of senior level engineers
- Develop a basic understanding of related regulatory standards and how the requirements impact design
- Design and fabricate test fixtures for new product validation and or production
- Write and carry out basic test procedures for evaluating the integrity of a product
- Interface with other departments to bring basic products or changes into production
- Develop and maintain bills-of-materials
