Senior Accountant

Position Responsibilities

• Analyze daily cash transactions and prepare related journal entries
• Reconcile cash, investments, prepaids, leases, and fixed assets balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis to ensure completeness and accuracy of account balances
• Manage employee NetSuite quarterly timecards
• Prepare quarterly foreign currency review
• Act as back-up processor for A/P
• Act as back-up reviewer and processor for employee expense reports within Concur
• Reconcile corporate credit cards to Concur to ensure timely payments and accounts are accurate in both systems.
• Execute the Company's internal financial and operational controls and policies
• Maintain process documentation for all areas of responsibility
• Approach existing procedures with continual improvement mindset
• Support finance team with work related to external audit, process improvements, and other ad hoc projects as needed
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
• 1-2 years in a combination of public accounting and/or life sciences industry financial accounting experience
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• Attention to detail and strong sense of accountability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Must have time management skills, strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to interact with others professionally in a cross-functional team environment
• Ability to work with external auditors, consultants and other service providers
• Experience using NetSuite, SAP Concur, and FloQast
