What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Operator position at Cullman American Trim?
1. Receives shipments from outside suppliers, verifying receipt, quantities and any damage. Signs and
dates paperwork and puts in proper location. For raw material - receipts, marks as required and puts
on issues.
2. Loads trucks and puts material away in proper location. Breaks down what is needed by each plant
and either stores it in the warehouse or delivers it to the plant.
3. Records all shipping and receiving data in the computer (i.e., volume, destination, location, etc.).
4. Assures rotation of steel and aluminum, so that the older inventory gets used before the newer
material.
5. Loads finished goods onto trucks, completes the bill of lading prior to shipment to the customer and
records all information on the computer.
6. Tracks the location of material from the time it is received, stored and used and/or shipped to the
customer.
7. Gets material ready for shipment to the customer the next day by pulling what is to be sent,
completing labels and tags as needed.
8. Sends material out via UPS when requested and distributes UPS receipts each morning.
9. Performs an inventory of the warehouse at the end of each period or two times a year, depending on
plant.
10. Delivers miscellaneous parts and supplies to departments. Stages aluminum and/or steel in Kan Ban
aisle (subject to plant needs).
11. Calls the truck lines needed for the day's shipments (at PC 3 & 4 only).
12. Does cycle counting on raw material and finished goods as requested or scheduled by production
control (subject to plant requirements).
13. Orders pallets and cardboard (PC 3) from suppliers as needed.
14. Breaks down coils that are needed for each press (PC 3).
15. Maintains a clean and safe working environment at all times.
16. Other job duties as assigned by the supervisor.
