What are the responsibilities and job description for the BIOMED SUPERVISOR position at Cullman Regional Medical Center Inc?
Job Summary:
- Supervises activities of the bio-med department, which includes prioritizing work and disciplinary actions.
- Performs minor electrical and/or mechanical repairs, along with any other duties assigned.
- Makes recommendations to director/manager of any needed disciplinary action.
- Is the first line of contact for any concerns or technical questions the technicians may have.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Joint Commission and CMS standards.
- Assists director in keeping compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards.
- Demonstrates and encourages team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
- Upholds and promotes patient safety and quality.
Education: Knowledge of testing, operation, and maintenance of bio-medical equipment as normally acquired through two years of formal education and training in bio-medical equipment technology or closely related electronics training.
Experience: 5 years of hospital bio-medical experience with repairing all types of equipment. Moderate level of analytical ability is required.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Must be able to use a multi-meter and amp meter. Must be able to manage multiple calls to assist other technicians/mechanics at once.
