About the Role
The onsite Transportation Manager will interface and work in coordination and in synchronization with the on-site travel team and other key members to establish safe, direct and efficient final transportation routes. This program will be at the national level and will require U.S. air, ground and sea transportation expertise, most notably, ground and air. This position will only focus on the management of effective transportation planning and coordination.
What You’ll Do in Your New Role
- Responsible for overall management and coordination of transportation projects, at the national level.
- Analyze, forecast, and plan efficient transportation routes via various transportation modes of transportation.
- Works with the on-site team and travel experts to schedule vehicle departures and arrivals and ensures air transportation and other modes of transportation are in alignment are 100% accurate.
- Applies quality assurance to ensure all transportation legs are accurate.
- Ensure all drivers maintain accurate vehicle logs which includes gas mileage, maintenance and equipment.
- Ensure the proper hand off of accurate end-to-end transportation itinerary to the execution team for monitoring and assisting.
- Ability to work an assigned shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of transportation planning of goods, services and human capital
- Associates degree in relevant field
- Experience working with U.S. Health and Human Services or Office or Refugee and Resettlement (ORR)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- HSPD-12 PIV Credential Tier 1
- National Agency Check and Inquiries—NACI Clearance
- Ability to pass a drug test; will be subject to random drug testing throughout employment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with ORR, either directly or within a contractual requirement, in a management or individual contributor capacity
- Experience working in or with an Influx Care Facility (ICF) or Emergency Intake Shelter (EIS) in a management or individual contributor capacity
