Position Summary: The Roller Shade Operator is responsible for manufacturing, assembly, final inspection, and packaging of roller shades. This position will also operate specific equipment to perform certain functions within the manufacturing process.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assembly of roller shade components and sub-assemblies.
- Labeling, packaging, and sorting materials and finished goods.
- Cutting extrusions into spec. including fascia and roller shade tubes.
- Operating Cutting table for fabric panels.
- Assisting with departmental inventory control as needed.
- Pulls/stocks all material used for roller shade production.
- Operates automatic pocket sealing machine and tabletop end welder for hem pockets.
- Responsible for final inspection on all roller shades.
- Will box, pact, and use sealer on final product packaging line.
- Unloading supplies, components, and material using Fork Truck or stand-up lift truck.
- Completing paperwork as required.
- Operates full size slitting machine.
- Other tasks assigned by Supervisor.
Role Qualifications/Essential Skills and Experience:
- Basic computer and math skills are preferred.
- Fabrication skills preferred.
- Ability to read tape measure and safely operate hand tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED
