Duties
General Qualifications:
1. Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs., bend, stoop, stretch, squat, quickly sit, stand and be physically active with
children (i.e. sitting on floor, exercising, running, jumping, dancing, etc.)
2. May be exposed to blood and bodily fluids
3. Must be able to physically and mentally react to unexpected circumstances immediately and appropriately
4. Must maintain a high energy level and be on their feet interacting with children the majority of the day, unless
instruction requires otherwise
5. Maintain self-control in your dealings with others (including, but not limited to, staff, parents, and children)
6. Must pass two criminal background checks, have an Employment Eligibility Verification, a Sworn Disclosure
Statement, and other licensing requirements on file

2. Must be able to work, collaborate and plan well with other co-workers
3. Must display enthusiasm and a love for all children

9. Must show professionalism in appearance, attitude, work habits and communication
10. Must be willing to accept constructive criticism, suggestions and feedback and take advantage of additional
opportunities to learn
11. Must remain confidential with information shared with center employees
12. Must be able to handle problems that arise with tact, understanding and forgiveness or must follow the chain of
command when needing assistance
13. Must maintain high-quality interactions with children and parents
14. Must support the mission of the center and do nothing that diminishes the reputation of the program
15. Must follow all CDC policies and procedures as outlined in the personnel handbook
Requirements

Educational/Experiential Requirements:
1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Must have a High School Diploma or GED
3. Must have a desire to obtain further education in Early Childhood Education or possess a current CDA or higher
education certificate/degree
4. Should be a Christian and an active member of a church body
5. Experience working with preschool/elementary age children in a group setting is preferred
