Summary

Dispatcher

We are looking for a dedicated Dispatcher to join our team. Under the direction of the Plant Manager, you will coordinate all daily outbound shipments with our truck drivers to ensure they deliver orders promptly. You must be extremely organized and able to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Dispatcher Responsibilities:

• Dispatch and schedule loads to maximize profitability and guarantee customer satisfaction
• Check inbound loads against invoices and receiving paperwork to ensure the correct pack/size, quantity, product quality, etc.
• Verify quantity of each product to ensure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation
• Report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in system.
• Document any damaged units and the detailed description of the damage
• Data Entry
• Answer incoming phones and route calls to the correct department.
• Resolve customer service and delivery issues in coordination with other departments.

Job Requirements:

· Ability to work under stress while remaining professional at all times

· Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented either verbally or in writing

· Ability to recognize, evaluate and resolve problems using independent judgment

· Ability to communicate well with others

· Above average writing skills and organizational skills

· Ability to take direction and follow through

· Must have computer skills and general computer knowledge.

· Detailed oriented

· Be proactive instead or reactive

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 6 months of transportation/logistics experience preferred
• Willing to train someone who has work experience in shipping and distribution.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25-28 depending on experience

• Dispatching: 1 year (Preferred)
