Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within the yard. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely shipping and receiving processes.
Duties
- Operate a forklift to move materials and products within the warehouse and production area.
- Safely load and unload trucks and rail cars using a forklift.
- Perform order picking and ensure accurate inventory counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, verifying quantities and inspecting products for quality.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment is essential.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Must be over 18 years old
