Seeking a Licensed Architect with building design experience for a firm that works with clients across the United States to combat the affordable housing crisis by reimagining construction with world-class innovation. • Detailed Building Design: Perform and
oversee the design of architectural elements for multifamily and hospitality
projects, focusing on modular construction and ensuring that all aspects meet
design intent and client expectations.
• Technical Guidance and Training: Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff, ensuring adherence to
architectural design standards and quality control procedures throughout the
design process.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that
architectural designs comply with federal, state, and local codes, maintaining
a high standard of quality control from concept through construction.
• Mentorship and Development: Mentor
junior architects and contribute to their professional growth, helping to build
a strong and capable design team.
• Client Relationships: Cultivate and
maintain relationships with clients, contributing to the firm’s reputation for
excellence in architectural design and modular construction.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor of Science in
Architecture (BArch) from an NAABaccredited university.
• Certification: Licensed Architect with
an active registration.
• Experience: o 5 years of
building design experience. o Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam.
o Experience filling the role of project architect on
multiple concurrent projects.
• Code Knowledge: Strong understanding of
industry codes, including the
International
Building Code (IBC), Americans with Disabilities Act
(ADA), National
Fire Protection Association (NFPA), California Building Code (CBC),
International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), and California Energy Code
(CEC).
• Modular Construction: Experience with
modular construction.
• Team Management: Experience managing
two or more project team members.
• Construction Administration: Experience
reviewing submittals and responding to construction administration requests for
information.
• Sustainable Design: Knowledge or
certification in sustainable design practices, particularly relevant to
California regulations and standards, including LEED, Passive House, California
Energy Code, and CalGreen.
• Project Experience: Comprehensive
knowledge and multi-discipline experience in planning, designing, and
constructing large-scale projects.
• Leadership and Communication: Strong
self-leadership and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to
effectively interact with team members at all levels.
• Adaptability: Ability to be a flexible
team player and adapt to changing project requirements.
