Position Summary:
This role is responsible for being the welcoming face of our Cultivate Initiatives Workforce Hub.The Hub Host works at the front desk and responds to inquiries, provides program information, maintains the lobby space, answers the phone, and any other tasks required to support neighbors and our office.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Full-time, non-exempt position with a starting hourly wage of $20 - 22 depending on experience

Accountability:
- Accountable to the Employment Services Program Manager
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greets, directs and manages the flow of visitors to the Cultivate Initiatives main office, “The Hub.”
- Provides information to neighbors about Cultivate Initiatives programs including the intern program
- Keeps commonly used forms/flyers stocked
- Responds to inquiries in a timely manner, communicates accurate information to neighbors and community neighbors, and forwards messages to other staff members as needed
- In charge of answering the phone with excellent customer service
- Keeps waiting area organized, clean and free of debris
- Maintains and updates the resource guide in collaboration with the Health & Wellness Specialist
- Maintains and restocks the coffee station
- Works with various teams as needed on special projects
- Represents Cultivate Initiatives to various stakeholders, volunteers, and community partners that may come into the organization
- May perform other duties as requested by supervisor
Qualifications/Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to speak and write in English (Spanish fluency is a bonus)
- Comfortability with using the computer and telephone
- Must have basic computer skills including checking emails, using instant messenger, editing and printing documents, and navigating the internet
- Ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively as needed
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed indoors.
- Work requires the ability to perform repetitive movements of the wrist, hands, or fingers due to continuous use of computer keyboards and other office equipment.
- Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels, from quiet offices to louder, industrial settings.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Must be willing to use/learn work related communication tools like Slack and Gmail, this is non-negotiable.
- Being physically present in the CI offices from 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
- Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination
- Must be able to provide proof of Driver's license or be actively working towards licensing
