The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and the establishment of a robust set of controls and budgets designed to minimize financial risk. Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial reports. Distribute monthly budget reports to management.
- Maintain a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial and operational systems, streamline processes, and enhance cost-effectiveness across various departments.
- Manage the annual audit process by liaising with external auditors and ensuring all financial records are up-to-date and in accordance with accounting standards.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and calculations of operating metrics, providing insights that drive operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor accounting team members, ensuring proper training and development, fostering a collaborative team environment, and promoting best practices in accounting.
- Ensure the company’s financial operations adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, while actively identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or controller role.
- Proven experience in multi-site or multi-entity accounting operations is essential.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing or similar industries is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software and financial management tools (e.g., ERP systems).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
