Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician (BT)/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with autism and other behavioral health challenges, implementing treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). This role is essential in providing support and education to enhance the quality of life for our clients through effective behavior management strategies.
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate clients and their families about behavior management techniques and care plans.
- Monitor client progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising BCBA.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Engage with clients in a positive manner to build rapport and trust.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Skills
- Experience working with children, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills for educating clients and families effectively.
- Ability to maintain detailed medical records accurately.
- Compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and patience.
- Strong observational skills to assess client behaviors and progress effectively.
