Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental clinic for June-July. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their treatment. The Dentist will perform a variety of procedures, including routine check-ups, preventive care, and complex dental surgeries. A strong understanding of medical terminology, infection control protocols, and patient management is essential for this role.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assessments to diagnose oral health issues.
- Perform a range of dental procedures including fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and oral surgery.
- Utilize Dentrix software for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Proficiency in endodontics, oral surgery, and dental fabrication techniques is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and record-keeping practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Experience with Dentrix or similar dental management software is a plus.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care while adhering to infection control standards.
