Our trusted client seeks an Environmental Scientist (Onsite) to join their team!
Title : Environmental Scientist (Onsite)
Duration : Direct Hire
Location : Texas-Mont Belvieu, Onsite
Shift : Reg Hours
Travel : Yes, 10 % of the Time
Compensation : $85k - $120k
RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to :
Development of key environmental performance indicators.
Communicate effective strategies to systemize environmental compliance and ensure continuous improvement.
Manage environmental procedures and keep same up-to-date and ensure that appropriate training is being conducted.
Develop strategies to reduce costs associated with compliance.
Develop strategies to capitalize on pollution control requirements.
Work with Procurement to bundle environmental services.
Setting and achieving environmental compliance goals that support and meet the expectations of Director, Environmental.
Participation in industry associations as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS :
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or other relevant technical field is preferred.
10 or more years of experience in a compliance or regulatory capacity in the energy or related industries is required.
Proven environmental compliance skills in the energy industry is required. Proven skills in the areas of communication, organization, influencing, and conflict resolution are required.
Proven ability to evaluate issues, define requirements, and implement action plans to accomplish organizational goals is required.
Working knowledge of midstream energy industry facilities, such as pipelines (gas, liquids, and natural gas liquids), pump and compressor stations; gas and liquid measurement facilities; above and below ground storage; liquid terminals, gas processing facilities, or natural gas liquids fractionation is preferred.
Mobility to walk and access field assets and Right-of-Way (ROW) is required.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time is required.
