Our client is seeking Salesforce Developer to join their team!

• Role Title: Salesforce Developer
• Role Duration: 6-Month Contract
• Role Location: HQ: East Bay Area
• Role Type: Remote (1 day per week in office)
• Role Target Start Date: 2 weeks upon offer

SUMMARY: We seek a contract Salesforce Developer to join our team for a 6-month engagement focused on focused on optimizing and enhancing our Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud instance. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions that support our program management, and community engagement efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Salesforce development, experience with Nonprofit Cloud, and a passion for making a difference.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Customize and enhance Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud to support fundraising, program management, volunteer tracking, and donor engagement.
• Design, develop, and maintain custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and automation using declarative tools and Apex.
• Build and maintain Lightning components, Visualforce pages, and integrations with external platforms (e.g., fundraising, marketing, or communication tools).
• Collaborate with staff to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and provide user support and training.
• Ensure data integrity through data mapping, migration, deduplication, and ongoing maintenance.
• Develop and maintain APIs and integrations with third-party applications (e.g., payment processors, email marketing, SMS platforms).
• Monitor Salesforce releases and best practices to recommend and implement enhancements.
• Document system configurations, customizations, and processes for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in solution design, testing, deployment, and ongoing support for Salesforce projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 8 years of Salesforce development experience, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and declarative configuration.
• Proficient in Salesforce data model, security, user management, and reporting.
• Strong ability with REST/SOAP APIs and ability to integrate Salesforce with external systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Knowledge of and/or experience with nonprofit business processes such as fundraising, donor management, and program delivery.
• Knowledge of and/or experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPSP)
• Commitment to the mission and values of the nonprofit sector.
• Tech Stack: GSuite, Slack, Snowflake, Tableau, Various in-house systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud and a strong understanding of nonprofit business processes such as fundraising, donor management, and program delivery.
• Experience with data migration, deduplication, and data quality management.
• Experience with fundraising, volunteer management, or program management platforms and integrations.
• Experience working in or consulting for nonprofit organizations.

• Two-stage interview: Video Initial Meetup and In-person and/or Video Tech Panel Meetup
• Pre-employment investigation required (criminal background, drug test)
• Fingerprinting may be required, pending internal policy review
