Our client is seeking a Territory Manager to join their team!

  • Role Title: Territory Manager
  • Role Duration: Direct Hire
  • Role Location: (REMOTE)
  • Role Location Requirement: Must be Local to Albany / Ellenville NY 
  • Role Work Schedule: Mon - Fri
  • Role Target Start Date: 2 weeks upon offer
  • Territory: MD, NJ, NY, PA, RI
  • This remote office position is responsible for working with customers, managing distributors,
    and factory representative firms (on average, three distributors) with limited supervision.

Summary:  Responsible for implementing specific sales and marketing strategies in an assigned territory and/or account base. The primary accountability for this position is to grow sales of all products in the assigned territory and/or account base by winning customer specifications or orders. The customer base includes OEMs, end-users, architect/engineering firms, control system integrators, control system manufacturers, distributors, and factory representatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a sales plan for assigned territory and/or accounts.
  • Increase overall sales volume in the assigned territory and/or account base to exceed assigned sales objectives.
  • Develop new customers to increase account base by leading sales efforts to acquire significant projects, end-user specifications, and/or OEM business through direct involvement and coordination of factory resources and channel (distribution) as necessary.
  • Vertical penetration of new and existing accounts that are strategic to sales growth in the assigned territory and/or account base.
  • Provide inputs to Sales Management that will assist them in developing sales quotas, sales objectives, volume forecasts, marketing plans, advertising programs, sales tool development, and new product development.
  • Participate in sales meetings, sales training, customer seminars, and trade shows as required.
  • Work with, train, and assist customers and distribution channels within assigned territory.
  • Work and communicate with internal departments for product development and/or customer orders/requirements for products

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Technical degree and Minimum 4 years of Sales and/or Marketing Experience Required
  • Minimum 4 years of Sales and/or Marketing Experience Required
  • Industrial Automation experience Required
  • Experience Developing and implementing a sales plan for assigned territory and/or accounts
  • Experience successssfully Increasing overall sales volume
  • Manufacturing or machinery experience is preferred
  • Electrical background ideal
  • 30-40% Frequent local travel within the assigned territory with customers factories with two to three trips to company HQ and fairs each year.
  • Safety glasses, earplugs, safety gloves, and vests are worn in certain.

Salary : $105,000 - $115,000
