What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025 Temporary Summer Laundry and Uniform Staff position at Culver Academies?
Dates of Commitment: Group 1: March 1st - August; Group 2: May 13 through August 3 and Group 3: June 17 - August 3 (A few employees may be asked to continue to work through mid-September.) Timing is approximate.
The Laundry and Uniform Departments will be hiring several summer temporary employees to work during our summer camp. Hired employees will be required to work during camper registration and will be assigned various duties during their summer employment. Below you will see the responsibilities and requirements.
REGULAR HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Except for camper registration weekend.)
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Laundry and Uniform Department is responsible for selling uniforms and other Culver wear, heat sealing names on the items, fitting the uniforms for the campers, performing alterations, receiving camper and staff dirty laundry, laundering, folding, and returning items to the cabins for the campers and staff.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must be willing to work as part of a team by helping coworkers to improve workflow and customer service, must be able to lift 25 to 40 pounds and, have the stamina to stand for long periods, must be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must be 14 years old and a current student or possess a high school diploma/HSE.
