Overview:
The Senior Plant Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production processes in a duck processing plant, ensuring efficient operations, adherence to safety and quality standards, and effective management of staff. This role involves coordinating production schedules, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimizing production efficiency.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
o Production Management:
Coordinate and supervise daily production activities to meet targets while ensuring quality and safety standards.
Develop and adjust production schedules based on demand forecasts and resource availability.
o Team Leadership:
Train, mentor, and develop production staff, promoting a collaborative team environment.
Collaboration with Quality Assurance Team:
Work closely with the FSQA team to monitor production processes and ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality control standards.
o Assist FSQA Manager in implementing corrective actions for quality issues and lead investigations to determine root causes.
o Collaboration with Safety Team:
Ensure production team adheres to established safety protocols and procedures.
o Continuous Improvement:
Analyze production metrics and data to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Collaborate with management to implement best practices and new technologies that enhance operations.
o Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of production outputs, staff performance, and compliance audits.
Prepare reports for upper management regarding production efficiency, staff
performance, and areas needing attention.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s degree in food science, manufacturing management, or a related field preferred.
o Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, with a focus on poultry processing being a plus.
o Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance processes.
o Excellent leadership and communication skills.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
o Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
Physical Requirements:
o Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
o Comfort working in a cold and wet environment typically found in processing plants.
Work Environment:
o This position requires working in a production facility with exposure to various temperatures and potential hazards. Safety gear and protocols must be strictly followed.

o Monday to Friday – 10-hour shift
