Position Title: Cat’s Pause Manager
Department: Dining Services

Position Summary:
Culver-Stockton College (C-SC) in Canton, Missouri is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Cat’s Pause Manager to supervise student workers, prepare meals, order as needed, and create schedules as needed. This position is responsible for covering the closing shift and offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the Culver-Stockton College community while gaining valuable experience in the field of dining services management.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow recipes, procedures, and health standards while ensuring proper food handling, labeling, and storage.
Handle cash transactions, prepare sales reports, manage deposits, and track weekly specials.
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise student workers, including evaluating performance and managing shift coverage.
Oversee food preparation, cleaning, equipment maintenance, and overall organization of dining and storage areas.
Assist with inventory control, ordering, and delivery checks.
Provide courteous customer service, address concerns professionally, and uphold a clean, well-maintained dining environment.
Perform closing duties and assist during staff shortages as needed.
Qualifications:
Must possess, as a minimum, a high-school diploma or GED.
One year’s experience in a kitchen related position is required and previous experience in college dining services preferred.
Must obtain ServSafe Certification or local Health Department requirements.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting two-digit numbers and multiplying/dividing by tens and hundreds. Must be able to perform these operations with U.S. currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to follow detailed but straightforward written and verbal instructions.
