Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency (CCEMA) is currently accepting applications for a paid, part-time (24hrs per week) summer 2025 intern. Work is in person; hours and start / end dates are flexible starting as early as May 1 and ending as late as August 31, depending on intern availability and project timeline. CCEMA and the prospective intern will agree upon the days and hours of work. The primary work location will be at the Windham, Maine campus with off-site event participation dependent on internship focus area or training and exercise opportunities. Pay is $16.72 / hr. Please note, applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
CCEMA supports the communities of Cumberland County before, during and after large disasters.
CCEMA is an all-hazards organization, meaning our support is available whether the incident is a fire, flood, terrorist act, public health emergency or anything in between.

QUALIFICATIONS :
The ideal candidate for this position is either a) currently enrolled in their junior or senior year of a
bachelor’s program or at any point in a master’s program in emergency management, homeland
security, or a related field; or b) has two years of experience in a public safety profession such as police, fire, or emergency medical services.
Candidates are invited and highly encouraged from other educational or professional backgrounds,
specifically those associated with media, marketing, public outreach, cybersecurity, or urban planning.
