What are the responsibilities and job description for the JANITORIAL MAINTENANCE WORKER-PT position at Cumberland County Guidance Center?
Dynamic Opportunity~ As an Janitorial Maintenance Worker, working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 2:00PM to 6:00PM the Maintenance/Janitorial Worker is involved in assisting in the maintenance and cleaning of Cumberland County Guidance Center properties and offices.
The Guidance Center~ is a primary mental health support agency, providing compassionate, professional care for individuals and families with mental health needs in the greater Cumberland County, NJ area. For more than 60 years, our non-profit organization of professionals, doctors, nurses, therapists, and support staff, has assisted the community in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of mental illness.
What does this position look like~
The Janitorial Maintenance Worker assists the Maintenance Staff in fulfilling work order requests for minor repairs on site, provides delivery to satellite locations and assists in the maintenance of the organizations fleet. This individual may be involved in working with vendors onsite and in the community. This position also assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the interior buildings at 2038 Carmel Rd, to include offices. Duties can include: mopping, removing of rubbish, perform minor repairs, clean and maintain restrooms, perform minor repairs, maintains a safe and clean workspace.
What you need to be considered~
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Some knowledge and experience of grounds keeping.
- Some knowledge and experience with handyman type tasks.
- Experience with janitorial tools/equipment such as a floor buffer, knowledge of properly cleaning carpets, tile floors, walls, etc.
- Experience with riding and manual lawn mowers.
- Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by carrier. (5 year abstract will be processed and will need to be clear of suspensions and multiple points)
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
