Department: Cumberland County Children and Youth Services

Address: 16 W. High Street, Suite 200, Carlisle, PA 17013

Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; Monday through Friday (75 hours bi-weekly)

Type Position: permanent/full time

Title: Administrative Supervisor (Fiscal)

Salary: $22.70/hour; $44,265/annual

Pay Range & Step: 107, 1

OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF JOB: To perform specialized administrative and supportive functions in a timely manner to assure efficient operation of the department.

Essential Functions Of Job

  • Assist Financial Manager with revenue maximization (Act 148, Title IV-E, TANF).
  • Assist Financial Manager with any new State and Federal regulations / requirements
  • Assists management level staff with clerical and data support to accomplish agency goals
  • Interacts with other internal and external governmental departments, outside offices, agencies and the general public daily as needed to perform essential job duties
  • Supervises and supports Fiscal Unit to include one on one training
  • Assigns and monitors work within the Fiscal unit and assuring staff are meeting all deadlines
  • Active member of the management team
  • Conducts performance reviews of fiscal staff
  • Addresses personnel issues within service area/unit
  • Responsible for scheduling unit meetings for the Fiscal Unit
  • Operates computer, copier and other office equipment daily

Other Duties Of Job

  • Implement/manage all fiscal related bulletins; assist with any related policies and procedures
  • Directs/monitors invoicing of Federal funds
  • Provide quality assurance of all Federal funds; coordinate Title IV-E Reviews
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required

MET’s

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

  • High school graduate.
  • Experience with Windows, Microsoft software, and Microsoft Excel
  • Good typing skills.

Work Experience

  • Two years of experience as an Administrative Specialist or equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Meet the minimum experience and training for the job
  • Meritorious service: defined as the absence of any discipline above the level of written reprimand during the 12 months preceding the closing date of the posting
