TITLE: Parts Specialist II / Administrative Clerk V                  

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:       

High school graduate or equivalent and a minimum of three years experience in purchasing, inventory control, and accounting for parts and supplies preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees day to day operation of parts room.

Vandalism reports – chargeable / vandalism.

Utilizes websites for researching parts.

Makes duplicate bus keys.

Possesses responsibility for annual inventory and reconciliation report of parts room with a value of over $1 million.

Must have a working knowledge of BSIP.

Manages warranty program for transportation fleet.

Serves as backup for dispatch.

Attends and successfully completes all training activities as required to improve ability and knowledge in performance of work duties.

Serves as team player and role model for other employees in the organization; demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement; supports and exhibits organizational core values of caring, respect, integrity, responsibility, high expectations, being customer driven, and valuing diversity.

Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have finger dexterity and be physically able to perform the basic life operational functions of kneeling, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, seeing, hearing, and repetitive motion.

Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Background check with local and state law enforcement agencies required.
Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License.
Applicant must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) when requested.

Salary : $2,898 - $4,102
