Responsibilities :
- Supervise and assign tasks to lower-level administrative staff, all while being responsible for performing the same duties as those they supervise.
- Develop, revise, and implement office policy and procedures. Assist with departmental goal setting.
- Assists in the hiring process and trains new staff employees.
- Requires testing to become JNET (Pennsylvania Justice Network) certified giving access to a secure criminal justice data portal, all of which involves analysis and specialized knowledge to communicate with all local, state, and federal court and law enforcement agencies statewide.
- Creates, edits and distributes criminal informations, discovery packets, letters and legal documents, some of which entail confidential information.
Distributes documents to all Court related personnel.
Creates trial lists, weekly miscellaneous court lists and monthly arraignment lists for Court related personnel. In creating said lists, must review and edit all documents to make sure all information on lists are correct.
Every list is reviewed through the Court Order, CPCMS, PMS and Vine Link to determine whether defendant are incarcerated.
- Submits all bench warrants, Governor’s Warrants, Extraditions, and Interstate Agreements on Fugitive cases which entails communicating with other County, State and Federal Courts along with Law Enforcement Agencies statewide.
- Attends in-court proceedings for pre-trials and arraignment Court and dockets them into the Prosecuting Management System.
Verifies information through the CRIS system and CPCMS (statewide systems).
Schedules all criminal hearings which requires communication and with the Judge’s staff, Court Administration, Defense Counsel, Sheriff’s Department, Law Enforcement Officers, victims / witnesses, and Prisons.
Issues subpoenas for victims, witnesses, experts, and Law Enforcement Officers and Agencies.
In reviewing criminal records and current offense gravity scores, computes sentencing guidelines for all Court personnel and defense counsel.
Submit guidelines to the State Sentencing Commission In lieu of Probation computing and submitting guidelines. Computes guidelines for all M3 cases resolved at the Magisterial District Court.
- Provides information to the public regarding routine legal procedures.
- Greets visitors and provides information.
- General office duties.

Minimum Requirements to Perform the Work :
Education :
- High school graduate.
- Good typing skills.
Work Experience :
2 years’ experience working in an office.
