JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: VMI Support Specialist - Part Time
Department: Vendor Management
Report To: VMI Manager
JOB PURPOSE
The VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) Support Specialist is an essential position in implementing/monitoring proper procedures to ensure the accuracy of product and quantity in customer locations. This position will assist management in developing and implementing process improvements to the VMI program with the goal of exceeding customer expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
· Coordinate cycle counts in assigned VMI accounts.
· Document inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and assist in practical solutions.
· Work with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures to proactively optimize overall location and item level accuracy.
· Interface with customers and relay pertinent information to CE3S Sales & Purchasing Reps.
· Depending on the assigned customers, travel within a geographical territory may be necessary. Current geographical territories are located in Central, Eastern and Western Pennsylvania. A vehicle is provided by the company.
· Receive products at customer locations.
· Ability to accurately identify and handle parts by number (ex., rotating inventory/tracking expiration dates).
· Maintain a positive attitude and sense of teamwork.
· Basic housekeeping
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous Warehouse experience preferred but not required.
Basic computer skills—specifically Microsoft Office Suite
Exemplify effective interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Effective working both independently and within a team environment
Possess a current Pennsylvania driver’s license.
Ability to lift at least 40lbs
Comfortably able to walk all day in a warehouse environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
