What are the responsibilities and job description for the X-Ray Technician position at Cumberland Family Medical Center In?
The newly opened Metcalfe Family Medical Center is searching for a dedicated and detailed X-Ray Technician to join their team! This position will work closely with the providers and clinical staff at MFMC to get prompt and accurate imaging of patients. This position offers optimal hours of 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with no night, weekend or on-call scheduling. Responsibilities/Duties:
- Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians.
- Instruct patients regarding procedures to ensure cooperation and optimum test results.
- Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
- Maintain equipment in appropriate operating condition.
- Maintain examination rooms and work areas. Order and stock all supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate department records, reports and files as directed.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Work as a team member within the ultrasound department and all other departments.
- Document work processes as required.

- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program required.
