Cumberland Family Medical Center, Inc. is looking for a versatile Medical Assistant or LPN to float between three clinics in Frankfort: Frankfort Pediatrics, Women's Care of the Bluegrass, and Family Care of the Bluegrass - West. Job Summary
Provides patient care to clinic patients under the supervision of Medical Director, Physician, and Nurse Practitioner. Assist with front desk / clerical duties as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Consult with and keep supervisor informed of clinic activities, needs, and problems related to patient care
- Complies with established patient care standards.
- Maintains established clinic policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.
- Maintains a clean, orderly and safe environment.
- Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee interdepartmental and public relations.
- Greets patients and escorts them to the exam room.
- Takes and records vital and patient medical information in chart.
- Prepares patient room for exam.
- Assist Provider in procedures as necessary.
- Completes ordered lab procedures.
- Administer IM, Sub Q injections to include immunizations.
- Wound care and suture removal as directed by Provider.
- Communicate results of all procedures and tests to Provider.
- Discharge patient to receptionist.
- Cleans and disinfects exam rooms after use.
- Restocks supplies, linens, equipment, and checks for defects and outdating.
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars and educational sessions are required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- CPR Certification.
- 2 Years experience in medical field.
- Experience preferred.
- Licensure within good standing.
- Maintain required continuing education courses.
