A fully integrated real estate investment, development and Property Management firm known for employee stability and growth has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, entry level Maintenance Technician.
This position is responsible for the up keep of all buildings and grounds keeping the property's curb appeal at its best as well as assisting with the preparation of apartment make-ready units for new Residents as well as providing necessary maintenance and repairs for all areas of the community, including Resident occupied units.
Maintain all public and common areas of the property in a clean, neat, attractive condition by picking up trash, sweeping, shoveling, etc.-Work with the Maintenance Team under direction of the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure quality repairs, preventative maintenance and customer satisfaction at all times.-Perform routine maintenance tasks, minor maintenance requests, routine preventative maintenance, and repairs as needed..-Ensure all vacant apartments are ready prior to move-in by completing a Make-Ready Checklist of needed services and repairs. Complete all services and repairs correctly and on schedule.-Perform other tasks as assigned by Property Manager and/or Maintenance Manager-Maintain an excellent customer service relationship with residents and co-workers.-Be self-motivated and maintain a positive attitude and have the ability to work well on your own when needed.
No specific level of experience is required. However, for safety and productivity reasons, the position requires the ability to read and write English and to accurately perform basic mathematical functions.The position requires the ability to transport or to move up to 50 pounds variable distances; the mobility and flexibility to use ladders and to access and work in confined spaces or at heights in excess of nine feet; the ability to work outdoors in temperatures exceeding 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit and the ability to personally perform general maintenance repair tasks without endangering themselves, residents, and other associates.
This position is full time and may also require the associate to perform on-call after hour maintenance emergencies, on a rotating basis.
An employee in this position must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance cleaning fluids and tools, including mop, broom, vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaning equipment, buffer, step ladder, full ladder, hand tools, key-cutting machine, hand truck, wheelbarrow, blowers, and pressure washers.
Maintenance Employees are responsible for furnishing their own basic tool set.
A valid driver's license and current automobile insurance is required. Position requires individuals to furnish their own reliable vehicle to fulfill all of the job's functions.
